The letters are already cut into the steel. Use one card to guide your engraving on the other, then switch cards to create a second backup.
Line up your first letter.
Place one card over the other. Position the matching letter stencil over the row you want to engrave.
Trace it into the steel.
Use the included tungsten tipped pen to scratch the letter into the card underneath. Repeat carefully for each word, in order.
Check. Repeat. Store securely.
Check every word against your recovery phrase. Switch the cards to make your second backup, then store each in a separate, secure location.

It stores an engraved copy of your wallet’s recovery phrase. It is a physical backup, not an electronic wallet. You keep using your existing wallet as normal.
What comes in the kit?
Each kit includes two stainless steel cards, a tungsten tipped engraving pen, two single use tamper evident stickers, and a wire keychain. Both cards have integrated letter stencils, so either one can guide your engraving on the other.
Will it work with my wallet?
The cards have space for up to 24 recovery words and support the English BIP39 word list used by many hardware and software wallets. Check your wallet’s recovery format before you start.
Do I need engraving experience?
No specialist experience is required, but engraving takes patience. The stencils help you form each letter. Watch the guide, use a stable surface, and take breaks when needed.
How long should I allow?
Allow around 30 minutes per card as a starting point. Your pace and phrase length will affect the time. Accuracy matters more than speed, so check every word and its position.
Where should I keep the finished cards?
Keep them somewhere private and secure. Anyone who can read your recovery phrase may be able to access your wallet. Storing backups in separate secure locations can reduce the risk of losing both in one event.
Will you ever ask for my recovery words?
Never. You engrave the cards yourself, offline. We do not need your recovery phrase for orders, customer support, or any other reason. Never send it to us or enter it on this website.
